UAE Codes is an annual event that forms a crucial part of the National Program for Coders, an initiative spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Falling on the 29th of October every year, “UAE Codes” celebrates the nation’s transformation to a digital economy.

In 2023, The UNESCO officially adopted an Emirati proposal to designate October 29 as the ‘International Day of Coding’, which also coincides with the anniversary of the launch of Dubai Internet City.
