UAE Council for Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain is tasked with proposing policies to create an A.I.-friendly ecosystem; to advance research in the sector; and to promote collaboration between the public and private sectors, including international institutions, to accelerate the adoption of A.I.

- A.I. Program in collaboration with University of Oxford to upskill government employees in AI.
- MBZUAI launched as the first university in the world to focus solely on Artificial Intelligence with full scholarships on offer.
- Addition of A.I. in School Curriculum.
- The UAE offers a variety of scholarships in A.I.-related studies.

Provide the Data and Supporting Infrastructure Essential to Become a Test Bed for A.I.
- Federal Government Open Data Portal
- A.I. Super Computer Lab : Federally funded High Performance Computing Cluster, composed of the most advanced GPU systems optimized for A.I. machine learning computations and is open to all researchers and startups based in the UAE.
- UAE A.I. Code Hub on GitHub to allow sharing of UAE developed open source A.I. projects such as application source code or trained A.I. models with the world.
- Data Sharing coordination that resulted in many different projects including
- Tuberculosis Detection Project:
TB is one of the top 10 leading causes of death. In the UAE, a chest X-ray examination is required for all foreign nationals to detect pulmonary tuberculosis by Emirates Health Services (EHS). This project aims to develop a robust A.I.-based system for automated diagnosis of tuberculosis using chest X-ray images acquired in the UAE. - Wildlife Detection Project:
Wildlife conservation reserves in the UAE collect hundreds of thousands of images from camera traps every few months and analyze them manually. The project aims to develop and deploy an A.I. model to automate this task.
